3 ways to be obsessive and plan EVERYTHING

Everyone is weird whether they'll admit it or not. I'm just very open about sharing.
I am OCD. I love to organize things and obsess over the future. Here are a few ways i do it:

1. Plan everything via email

A recent example:
I collaborate my weekend plans with a few gfs on this email template that i created. Maybe you cannot tell by the picture but we have contributed to this chart at least 10 times as a group, maybe we are the most organized group of friends in korea. Who knows.

The chart is a weekend planner is for the month of July and August and allows us to avoid asking each other "what are you doing this weekend?" etc.  now we are information monsters who know exactly what is going on and makes it easier to coordinate plans such as going to Busan over the same weekend, or going to a water park together. This chart also helped me realize that i am potentially spending 6 out of the 9 weekends outside of Korea/Seoul. WAHHHH... i mean WOOOOOOO!!!

dont forget:
Periodically write yourself emails and "star" them. Write down your goals and plans [maybe start off with writing your 1 week, 1 month, 2 month, 3 month, 6 month, 12 month, 18 month, 24 month plans]. Write down other bits of information such as which books you will finish reading, what new hobbies you will start, the progress that you have made, your work and personal goals. This will help you plan in life and instill some good habits.

Make templates.
Templates keep things easy and keep you in check. The template from the above image was something I quickly made at work. I'll admit I thought to myself... Is this too intense? Is this too much? Will my friends think im crazy? And sent it anyway, and am fully satisfied as we have filled it all out together. @_@ *crazy music* NOW DONT YOU WANT TO BE FRIENDS?!?

2. Plan collaborative itineraries AGAIN on Google wave

Another way i collaborate is through google wave, which nobody uses, but im quite the fan. Above is my sample itinerary for my california trip, which includes a map of all the stops we will hit up and daily plans which are split up between "daytime activities" and "nighttime activities" also including restaurant reservations with links, and the order of our schedule.

Another tool i use is the free Mindmap gadget to help me organize and brainstorm plans. underneath you can see a small clipping of my NYC itinerary. I cant wait until wave improves, but so far so good.

Here is a close up of the things i have been waving about recently including my extensive NYC itinerary that i have been working on for weeks, my cali itinerary and weekend itinerary that i started on wave.

3. Write everything you planned on all of your personal calendars, or at least THREE calenders - one for work, one for home, one in your personal calendar

There was a time in my life when i used to have around 5 calendars in my own bedroom. each calendar said the same thing and the highlight of my whole day, right before going to bed, was to go around to each calendar and cross out the day. I once showed my best friend my nightly ritual and i think saying that she was freaked out is an understatement. I obviously had nothing better going on in my life except studying.

BUT ANYWAY these are just tips to jump start your new organized lifestyle. It's annoying, it takes effort and most of the time it is a waste of time. ENJOY!

this shit is bananas

I was thinking to myself, "who is my demographic? what is my blog objective? who am i even blogging to??"
To all three questions dont really have an actual answer. I don’t know. One day I blog about how much my job drives me crazy, or how korea drives me crazy, how I partied over the weekend, where i want to travel, what I ate, how I expelled my food.... It’s never consistent. So I’m going to stay consistent with being inconsistent. Today I blog about jewelry.

I’m obsessed with this mini banana necklace I bought in hongdae. I wish I could remember the store name…they have a series of mini necklaces. I’ve been eyeing these for a while and finally bought one. It’s a choker on me, but that’s the new look. According to myself.

Now that Korea is out of the world cup, i dont know what to do with myself. watching other games and going on fifa.com doesnt have the same feeling to it. i guess life will just go back to sex drugs & rock n roll, except replace the sex with food, the drugs with gin tonics and rock n roll with house. food, gin tonics & house. just doesnt have the same ring to it.

Hot yoga tonight. im already dreading it.

We decided to test out the new camera at the Keith Haring exhibit on Saturday. it was purty cool and the part outside of the SOMA is pretty! i'll admit. i had no idea who keith haring was until i went. i recognized his work though and after watching a 30 minute documentary on him  [which they show at the exhibit] i'm now a fan.

Andy [Warhol] Mouse
this is around when they told me to stop taking pictures haha
Then we went to watch the last korea game at 11pm @coex, everyone is wearing raincoats!

then went to the miller party [thanks skippy!] and pounded a few beers which ended up giving me acid reflex, but i wasnt going to let some bodily dysfunction ruin my night.

Goulash & Bread - Hungarian food.
Hongik station, exit #5, next to the playgroud. look at the link for better directions

Sunday went to Hongdae for the Michael Jackson exhibit but ended up getting there right when they closed... sigh. on a brighter note, a friend introduced me to my new fave cheap-eat in hongdae called Goulash and Bread which serves either set A [goulash, fresh homemade bread, a scoop of rice] for 3,500! or set B [set A + salad] for 5,000. they also give complementary coffee. it was so awesome. they also give free refills on everything. the bread is so delicious i could have eaten 10 pieces but for the sake of good business, i limited myself to two.

why the bread is perfect: it's crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. its kept in the oven to keep warm so its the perfect temperature and the butter just melts right on. mmm just thinking about the bread makes me drool. free goulash refills. whats not to love? if they had a tip jar, i would have left some tip because i was hypnotized.

the place is run by a cute couple who traveled around and lived in eastern europe. they picked up on our konglish conversation so they probably understand enough english, making it foreign friendly. i advise you to sit at the bar for easy access to refills and to talk to them because theyre super cute. did i hype it up enough?

Photoshop Lies. Don't believe the magazines. Faith Hill edition

I'm not the world's biggest country music fan, but i do love some of it and that includes Faith Hill. I stumbled on this and i think Faith Hill looks good before and after photoshop.

this is another example of how magazines and publications make people look ridiculously good, but at the same time make you feel ridiculously bad. stop looking at overly photoshopped pictures. theyre bad for the soul.

after a while doesnt her arm in the photoshopped picture look too long and unrealistic?

Today's random jumble: demographic studies - seoul & the world cup Vuvuzela problem & BP oil spill picture

1. so i was talking to Randi, who lives in sf, about demographics and thanks to wikipedia i came up with these crazy facts. SF's population is around 808,000. THATS IT??  not only that, you could fit 5 SF's in Seoul. and 10 SF's in Los Angeles. according to some random search blurb i did, Seoul is the 6th/2nd/4th etc most populated city in the world.

got this off of wiki. good god, look at the density of these cities. even though its over packed here in seoul, sometimes it still feels like its just you and me.

Population ranked by density

2. a picture i came across from  the Guardian. Waves from a beach in Alabama thanks to BP's oil spill. looks unreal.

3. Vuvuzela
if you have been watching the world cup then you probably already know about the vuvuzela problem. after a while you start to tune it out but my god, can they ban those for SURE for the last few games peas??

- watched the us vs algeria game last night and just when everyone lost all hope on both sides, the us made a goal during the second minute of overtime. awesomeee. not everyone likes to root for the us, but i was really happy when the us got that goal.

- props to korea for making in to round 2. saturday may be our last game... so lets make it sloppy!

4. To end things off on a chipper note:
