Table manners

As paranoid as i am, i probably shouldnt be sharing...

on saturday i was having a few drinks with a few friends that i have been chummy with since i first arrived in korea. i had to use the restroom but the line was super long and there was only one stall so i decided to screw that idea. since i had a good buzz going on and creative juices flowing, i announced to my friends that i was going to pee in a pitcher!

so at the table i put my jacket over myself and peed in a small pitcher, filling it about half way. My friend decides to do the same and pees in the SAME pitcher, filling it all the way to the top. he stops midway and continues to pee in the water pitcher. then ANOTHER friend decides to pee in a pitcher too. we have pictures and video. we. are. disgusting.

i hadnt laughed that hard in a while.

okally dokally

today my brand spankin new work computer (1 pound super cute but apparently not very durable lappie) broke down on me so i didnt get any real work done til around 5 pm. im making up for it now bc im prob stayin in past 10 tonight.

a director told me that if i dont get my contracts signed tomorrow, not to bother to come back to the HQ office next week! ahh he's 1/2 serious too.

this week has been going well so far... though it is only monday. im losing track of the days. today i thought it was the 17th.

LALALALAL

last week i met some guy who is 33 (korean age) 31 (american age). today i went out with him and at the end of the date he reveals that he lied about his age. he's actually 36 (korean) 34 (us)

in korea its not considered strange for a 23 yr old girl to date a 30 yr old. but cmon. 36 is pushing it.

i give up. i'm a spinster and i only attract old men.

i'm just going to continue my one sided love affair

im the fob here

Story 1
Last Saturday I met a boy and gave him my number. On Sunday night (btw in korea theres no 3-day rule crap) he texts me in Korean, I quickly read it and thought he asked if he could sleep over. Out of disgust I respond to him in English, “IM NOT CHEAP BOOTY CALL”

At this point im home alone sitting on my couch regretting the fact that I gave that guy my number and then I get a response from him “no no, I was asking if you got a lot of rest today…”

And then I died a little.

Story 2
On Tuesday night I’m walking by myself toward a hotel for a customer dinner and this man approaches me out of nowhere, speaking only English to me. I was kind of freaked out but thought I would help him out. He asked me to exchange a $100 bill for the equivalent in Korean money. At this point I’m going way out of my way for a stranger, but as a believer in karma, so I agreed.

He reveals to me that he is a doctor and is in korea for a conference (oh god, I have such a bad impression of doctors now. That makes it 3 weird doctors in the past year) but I decided he was a dumb doctor after he said “I tried to pay the taxi driver with US money but he wouldn’t accept”

Anyway I go over to an ATM and the first machine is broken, so I go to the next machine and call my coworker to tell him that I’m running a few mins late. I pull out $100 worth of Korean money and when I go outside to exchange money he had disappeared.

Maybe he thought I was calling the cops, I don’t know. Why me???

Story 3

The other week I met a fob guy when I was thoroughly trashed. I’m guessing we met at around 4 am and we hung out until around 7 am, the only thing is I don’t remember a thing. Often during our conversations I’ll say something and he will respond, “I know, you already told me…” but hey, at least that means I’m telling the truth!

Last week I asked him if he knew my name and he responds “yeah of course Jihae, how could I not know your name? do you know my name?” and I respond “UHhh YEAHHH DUHHHH”. I still don’t know his name. I call him Bill (from true blood) behind his back.

neighhh

a snippet of my regular horsey talks with esther on gchat. and btw mark = esther's brother who i openly hit on.

ESTA: but when i tried to convince my mom about visiting you i was getting all emotional like"BUT UMMAAA i really miss alice and i wanna stay with her for a bit and shes really responsible and blah blah"
and i told mark i said that
and he was like
3:50 PM "wow. you said the EXACT wrong thing. you should have said you wanna visit family and grandparents. NOT FOR YOUR LEZBO LOVER"
:'(
but its okay its still gonna work out and we're gonna fulfill all my springtime horsey fantasies
3:51 PM me: HAHAHAH
Esta: hahahah
yeah i was telling mark like
3:53 PM "trsut me i've played the family card MANY-A-TIMES"
and he was like
"do it again. dont let umma know youre gay"
me: loollll
Esta: so yeahh now i have to just kepe my mouth shut till he gets back
me: gossh he talks as if we really are lesbos
Esta: hahahah

babies

i have and always will have a thing for boys with baby faces. kristin must be the first to have noticed this. i love boys who look like theyre 15.

once kristin and i were sitting in a funeral hall and i saw this boy walk past us and i gave a triple stare because i thought he was soo hot.. kristin, who had seen the whole thing, said to me "JIHAE! he looks like he's 15!!!"

once i told some people at church about my young boy fetish and how i used to watch this one boy walk past my house everyday after school for a month or so. im pretty sure he was in middle school. but i wanted to go outside and talk to him one day... however never had the guts.

at disneyland this one guy was with 5 other girls and they all looked like freshman in high school, some of the girls looked younger but the guy, im pretty sure he was at least a sophomore... but anyway, he was HOT. kristin caught me staring at him multiple times.

when im old and divorced, i totally want to have an 18 yr old bf.

hahahah so true

2010... only 2 more years of life

my new years resolutions:

1. have a better attitude! YIPPIE!!

2. get a boyfriend. i think this will help.

3. lose some weight

4. study & read more

5. become more serious about  learning korean

a quick recap of my holiday in the states:
i overall had way too much fun.
literally no time to just sit around and do nothing.
disneyland is seriously the happiest place on earth.
avatar changed my  life.
my family is all i need
jonny is the cutest dog in the world

i had so many moments during my stay in the states where i just wanted to live in the moment forever. i experienced this a lot at disneyland, while watching avatar, eating dinner outside with my family on new years and while laughing my brain off with my hapa cousin on new years eve.

please God, mother willow, tree of life... let this year be good.
